Interview with Mao Zhedong

Interview with: Mao Zhedong                                                               Evan Foun

Question # 1: How do you feel about the Cultural Revolution?
Answer: I think the Revolution is a great event for China. It will get China out of the past and we will improve our country. Also we have to get rid of our bad past and eliminate the fourolds. With the four olds gone China will start to modernize.

Questions # 2: Why do you want to eliminate the fourolds?
Answer:The fourolds is what holds China back from modernizing. Old customs, old culture, old ideas and old habits are preventing us from becoming a great nation. The old is the past and in the past China has not been strong and the poor were always struggling. If we get rid of them China will become stronger.

Question # 3:What are your goals for China?
Answer: I want China to become one of the worlds greatest countries and I don’t want to be stuck in the past. I want China to be equal for all classes of people so that no poor person can’t find food and that no rich person can have more than the working class. If all these things come true China will be a wonderful country.

Question # 4: How do you feel about the Communist party?
Answer: The Communist Party is the only way for China to thrive. The communist party wants everyone to be equal so no one is struggling to get by. The communist want to help everyone have equal qualities of living and there will be no landlords to exploit people. We are the superior form of government over nationalist.

Question # 5: How does it feel to have all of China to worship you like a god?
Answer: I actually am not so happy to be looked as a god because that is the fourolds and is against my revolution. I like to be revered but not treated like a god. Being looked up to is very important and if I can influence China’s youth to follow in my footsteps China will be a better place.
